Mission

The Play On! Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation based in Sonoma Valley, pro-actively seeks out, sponsors and enables talented but financially-challenged young girls to play soccer.



Background

It all started a few years ago, when Shari and Eran Glago noticed an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of one or two less fortunate young girls at their daughter’s school, who had the talent to be really good at playing soccer, but who did not play for financial reasons.

They were so impressed by the way those girls developed and blossomed by their association with various soccer teams, that they decided to take this a step further. They decided to set up this non-profit entity offering tax incentives to donors, so they could raise additional money and sponsor even more girls, who too would use their special talent to benefit from the sport in the way so many other children already do.

Now, as the Play On! Foundation, not only do we seek out new candidates every year, but we also hope to be able to continue sponsoring the same girls from one season to the next, outdoor then indoor, uniforms and tournaments included, year after year, so that they can continue playing into high school, and perhaps into college and beyond.
